Presenting the Aurum Stallions!
At Aurum we are currently standing six purpose-bred performance stallions to outside mares. These stallions are the result of our selective breeding programme over the past twenty years. Our offerings are unique in commercially available performance bloodlines in Australia!We stand two of only a handful of Brilliant Invader stallions available to the public in Australia and ours are both out of high quality proven performing mares.
The first, Aurum Invader, is out of a three star Flooding mare which makes him an absolutely unique proposition for anyone seeking to breed superlative eventers or showjumpers.
His half-brother Aurum Brilliant Cut is also unique in being out of a competition proven Black Pampas/Nearco/Bay Ronald line mare which is a line that has produced countless top jumpers over the years both nationally and internationally.
The aspiring breeder will most certainly not find these concentrated jumping bloodline combinations anywhere else but Aurum!
Aurum Flash Flood is a stallion by Flooding out of the same mare as Brilliant Cut. We would venture to suggest there are few opportunities to find this combination of blood anywhere else. Flooding is of course deceased but the line is legendary in Australian showjumping.
Next on the list is Aurum Alloy, a beautiful grey stallion from the famous Souvenir legacy. He is by the renowned showjumper McCartney. There are many good horses in the Souvenir line but perhaps only one other McCartney stallion son standing to public mares as far as we know.
We're proud to present two new additions to the band as well. The first is Aurum Rivière d'Or, a wonderful combination of elite European and Australian bloodlines, who displays spectacular movement and is endowed with a highly trainable temperament. He posseses a heritage of Grand Prix dressage and Olympic standard showjumping. Rivière d'Or is by Regardez Moi (Rubinstein/Donnerhall/Consul) out of Aurum Belle (Floodway/Vain).
The second is Aurum Remarquable. He is also by Regardez Moi and is out of Tidal Wave, a 3 star eventer by Flooding. Tidal Wave is in fact the dam of Aurum Invader. Remarquable, also known as 'Hewey' is remarkable in his own way because he survived being born six weeks premature. You can read his story here. As a result of his premature birth he is short of stature but is genetically full sized and will produce normal sized foals of extraordinary ability!
Our sires contain a virtual who's who of Australian thoroughbred performance bloodlines as well as selected European bloodlines. Our Australian thoroughbred genetics have been represented in virtually every Australian international team for many years as well as hundreds of top national performance horses, many of which have been sold overseas for large sums of money. These bloodlines appear in several gold medal winning horses from past Olympics.
