Aurum Thistle

Thistle's dam Aurum Poppy has a serious performance lineage! She is by A grade showjumper Macartney (himself out of an A grade showjumping mare). Poppy's own dam, Daisy, was a highly talented purpose bred eventer (bred by Steve and Pauline Weir) who succesfully competed at one star level in the days when one star was somewhat more challenging than it seems to be now! Her sire was Sterling King who succesfully competed at three star level. Daisy is out of a Black Pampas mare, a line which has been highly sought after for jumping horses in Australia. Poppy has been lightly competed prior to stud duties. She shows a sensational jump and excellent above-average movement, frequently on top after the dressage. Thistle shows an elevated forward trot, a very quiet, friendly nature and has the right mix to make a great eventer or showjumper. With her beautiful movement, she could do dressage as well.
