Aurum Spotstar was bred by us for Kim to compete on in eventing. Sadly we did not have the time to put into him and he has had only basic training. He was broken in and had a few months work, then a year off, then a few months work etc. He is a strong powerful type like his mother with a super quiet temperament. He is absolutely going to waste in our paddocks and deserves to go to someone who will do something with him.
His sire Star Pyramul has sired a number of good eventers including Anne Putker's Weltevreden Spur On. Star Pyramul's sire Favoured Bay has himself produced several top eventers and showjumpers including Mighty Heights (ridden by Robyn Brown and who with Karin Davis also did Grand Prix dressage!) and Mr Burns (ridden by Rod Brown - Australian World Equestrian Games Showjumping Team).
Spot's dam Daisy was a purpose-bred eventer who Kim competed up to Novice level in the early 90's. Novice level, for those who weren't around (!) was loosely translated over to one star. However in those days courses at Novice level were very tough, much tougher than today's 1* courses (sorry!) in what horses and riders were asked. Daisy was a sensational jumper who never refused a fence and rarely if ever had time penalties.

Spot is ten years old but without the mileage of a ten year old. He was broken in by the AEBC and is quiet and willing but has only a basic education (walk, trot canter). He has been jumped a little during his small amount of early work. We expect him to be a super jumper with his breeding and he would suit a rider looking for a good purpose-bred eventing prospect without spending a fortune. |

| Oh, he doesn't have a weedy tail! He had a minor accident and his tail is growing back! Spot's a lovely horse, very reminiscent of his mother in both type and personality, so please, only a good caring home for him! |
