Daisy was one of Aurum's foundation mares and has produced a string of wonderful progeny including Aurum Poppy, and two of our stallions, Aurum Brilliant Cut and Aurum Flash Flood. Daisy passes on her good looks, great conformation, gentle nature and super athletic ability.She was described more than once as a legend for her incredible boldness, courage and toughness cross country! She was a qualified 2 star eventer.
But just in case anyone out there doubts Daisy's credentials as a top performance broodmare, here are a few photos of her in action!
Daisy passed away on 18th September after struggling with an intestinal blockage for two days. She was 28 years old and had been part of our family for over 25 years. She retained her wonderful personality right to the last.
The strangest part was how she fell sick the morning that our first foal of the season was born and he is her grandson! To have the two opposite each other in our stables was pretty amazing.
One era ends and another begins!
