Video of Jive Princess as a 2 year old mp4 (29seconds 17.4Mb)

Jive Princess is in the early stages of training under saddle and is showing the straightforward nature we expected of her. She is very relaxed about the lessons so far and with her easy going nature should be a pleasure to work with.

Her sire Jive Magic is virtually a household name in Australia these days. Unfortunately he has had his dressage career interrupted by an eye injury but is still heading towards the Beijing Olympics. Prior to his injury he won his first Prix St Georges and achieved many placings including at the Sydney CDI 2005. Meanwhile his family has been well represented by his off spring and also his younger full brother Chatham Park Jac. At just 8 years of age, Jac recently represented Australia at the World Equestrian Games in Aachen. Chatham Park Jac has been described by international judges as being of the highest quality you could hope to see any where in the world. Jive Magic youngsters have been consistently competing with success scoring more than 70%. This can leave no doubt that the desirable characteristics of a Grand Prix dressage horse are highly heritable and that Jive Magic will contribute this inheritance to his off spring.

Jive Magic is by Jazz, himself a Grand Prix star and member of the Dutch WEG team. He in turn is by Cocktail, a Grand Prix Dressage star with Anky van Grunsven, and his sire, Purioso is the father of both Olympic Dressage and Olympic Show Jumping horses.

On his dam side, Jive has Fruhling, a son of Landadel, who has sired World Cup finalists in both Dressage and Show Jumping. The dam of Jive Magic is out of a mare by Aktion who was one of the worlds great Grand Prix dressage competitors.

Jive Magic passes on his exceptional talent for piaff and passage to his youngsters. Our foals by him have sensational movement in the paddock and have the temperament and trainability so important for a great competition partner.

Jive Princess' dam Better Pine (dec) was a Hanoverian registered ASB mare. Her pedigree includes the influential sire Precipitation as well as Court Martial, Bay Ronald, Dark Ronald, Son In Law and very interestingly, Tamerlane. Tamerlane and his sire Persian Gulf, both greatly influenced German warmblood breeding as did Bay Ronald through his son Dark Ronald.

Jive Princess is a big impressive filly, boasting great looks, excellent conformation and not the least, really spectacular movement showing great elevation and impressive hock and knee action. She has a sweet, friendly nature with a real willingness to learn. We have no doubt that she has what it takes to go right to the top of the dressage world!
