Aurum Poppy is a young mare by McCartney out of Daisy. McCartney was an A-grade showjumper by the legendary Souvenir out of an A-grade showjumper. He is also the sire of Aurum Alloy and many other notable Australian eventers and showjumpers.

The McCartney/Daisy cross has endowed Aurum Poppy with wonderful movement, real elegance and a sensational technique over fences. She is an excellent example of the benefits of purpose-breeding and upbringing, with a truly uncomplicated start to her career. Kim was campaigning Aurum Poppy during 2004/5 in the grades up to pre-novice at which she was excelling, usually with top-end dressage marks and usually clear jumping rounds. |

| A lack of time caused us to temporarily put her career on hold so we elected to put her in foal to Aurum Invader which resulted in a beautiful filly, Aurum Thistle.
In 2007 Poppy produced another super foal, Aurum Darth Invader, also by Aurum Invader. Benny has super movement and is sure to excel in eventing like his mum. |
